Montauban Nick Lead In First Leg

Come On Bath!

Montauban fancied their chances prior to their Parker Pen Cup game against Bath on Saturday and they lived up to their expectations as they won 27 - 24. But of course in this strange two legged situation we are only at half-time and Bath will be confident they can take the tie at the Rec next week.

The return of Iain Balshaw once again did inspirational wonders at the start of the game for Bath as he chipped and chased a ball under the Montauban posts but even with his pace was unable to catch it for a score. But it was not long before Balshaw set up Danielli for a very early try. Unfortunately for Bath they could take control of the game after this excellent start and with the score at 18 a-piece at half-time the Bath crowd knew this was going to be a bit of a toughie.
