After a bit of a rest for the Six Nations Bath get back down to business this Sunday when they travel up to Adams Park, the home of London Wasps in a game from which they will do well to secure a losing bonus point.
Wasps have won their last four Premiership
matches and their last four games at home. Bath's only win in their last five outings
was 30-9 over Saracens at the Rec on
1st March and have won only two away games
this season (London Irish and Newcastle)
so this is a real challenge for Michael Foley
and his team. Foley and Brian Smith have
named a 23 man
squad with Mike Tindall and Adam Vander not
making the trip.
The Wasps game is the first of three in seven
days for Bath, but Foley is confident believing
his side is ready for the challenge.“Three games in seven days is an enormous
challenge for us. However, preparation has
been extremely good this week and we will
be looking to bounce back after what was
an unacceptable performance against Northampton
Saints. Our destiny is in our own hands.”
Looking at the ERE Poll for this week few
of us believe Bath can win this game but
they must at least put together a performance
that stands them in good stead for the 8-pointer
later in the week against London Irish.
