Look at this weekend and the fixture against the team currently holding up the bottom of the table. Lets hope we don't give them too many chances to move off the bottom.

If you have been looking at the club site you may also be expecting the Warriors to be playing hosts to Wasps. This match has been called off since Wasps are no longer in the Canterbury Shield.
An attempt is being made to arrange another match but no luck yet. If I find out anything before I travel to Newbury I will post it on the messageboard.
With Mike Denbee being all but ruled out for Saturday who will fill his place? Jamie Tripconey, Gareth Evans, Sean-Michael Stephen and Kyle Marriott are all potentials. Even if of one them are named in the squad on Friday it may well change for Saturday.
Newbury have not had a good start to the season but they have had top of the table Bedford and Pirates as well as Moseley, whom seem to be doing well this season. They have scored just 5 tries and only converted 2 of them with not a single penalty goal to their name.
Ex Albion Nick Defty was in the starting line up against Pirates in their first match of the season and played 56 minutes but has not featured since. Gareth Griffiths has scored the only kicking points for Newbury and flanker Mark Lee has scored 2 of their tries from the flanker position.
Note to alllb10n tem mangers you will not get an points for your team if you have selected our own Mark Lee in your fantasy tem.
My team for Saturday:- NOT the official team.

Jo Holden, Plymouth Albion Ladies Club Captain, is in buoyant mode ahead of their first match of the season today. After a change to the fixtures Albion will be hosting Richmond on the main pitch at Brickfields at 2pm.
Holden, who herself will starting at 2, is happy with the preparations the squad have made for their second season in Championship South and hopes her squad will be pushing for promotion come the end of the season.
Richmond are expected to bring down a strong pack but Jo believes Albion will be able to match them with the strongest pack Albion have had for some time. The ladies side has already been augmented by strong players that last season were playing for the under 18 side.
Jo admits the law variations will be challenging. "I think the new rules are going to test everyone, they are going to test us and they are going to test the referees and we are going to see how the other teams are going to react to them. We have been training for them and we are prepared.
"Irish", Rachel Tucker will take he place again as captain on the pitch and pack leader. As Jo says she leads by example and will soon show how to improve!
Albion will be expecting plenty of vocal support from the two girls teams who will having a joint training session with Kingsbridge before the match. The under 15s and 18s will be starting their league next month in the newly formed south west league.
Please come along the ladies will welcome your support at the beginning of the season.
