RFU Accept Wasps Bid

A massive step forward for Wasps as the RFU has approved a Championship place in season 2023-24 subject to certain conditions being met. Unfortunately in the same statement Worcester were not given the same ruling and no doubt that will continue to be discussed.  

The RFU say they will continue to work with the bidders over specific conditions including:

  • Financial commitments to ensure that the club remains funded
  • The lodging of a significant bond
  • The regular provision of financial and other information
  • Swift payment of rugby creditor
