A trip up North to visit Mrs C's folks had the spin off benefit of enabling me to go to Headingley to see the first leg of the play-off semi-finals. A cracking game and excellent banter on the "Dark-Side" terrace with both Leeds & London Welsh fans and a rather pleasant few scoops of Black Sheep bitter to make the day go well. I supported Leeds for the day as Doc was playing and Nathan in the squad - although injured at the moment.
I couldn't resist molesting the Leeds Mascot - a Yorkshire terrier I think but lost interest when I realised there was a bloke inside rather than a lass. |

I am not suire what sort of mascot Jersey would take on board - a Jersey Cow or a Potato doesn't quite work - maybe a Crapaud but I'm not wearing the suit.
I met up with Nathan, Doc and our own Sam Lockwood in the Caenegie bar afterwards. I think Sam is still technically a Leeds player on loan to Jersey until the new season so lets hope he gets a run out for Leeds in the play-offs. He's a great lad.
I tried to track down Jonny Bentley to see if the rumoured move to Jersey had any legs but failed miserably. Supporting Leeds all day I now have the Lemon Head hat to prove it. All the best CC |
