What a boost Wasps and Bath gave us all who were all locked away and desperate for some light relief. The 44-52 scoreline almost says it all. Crazy helter skelter stuff - wonderful to watch with a smile on your face.

We forgot the caterpillar, the endless volleys of kicks, the reset scrums and the frowning coaches hiding behind their laptops trying to justify their presence.

For some reason known only to themselves both sets of players just decided to go for an it enjoy themselves. They scored 11 tries in the process - most of them from free running play.

A 50-50 scoreline would have been fair. One suspects most Wasps supporters would have been willing that last ditch conversion to go over so Bath would have got the two bonus points they deserved.

We are at Montpellier next week - dare we ask for more of the same?
