Alfie Barbeary crossef three time as Wasps beat Biarritz 39-29 to move into the quarter finals of the European Challenge Cup .

Wasps needed to make a solid start to silence the vociferous home supporters. They did just that with Alfie scoring twice in the first half alongside  Jacob Umaga and Dan Robson.

It was  29-8 at oranges with Biarritz returning knowing it was do-or-die for them. As a result of their renewed efforts Mathieu Hirigoyen went over early and, with their tails up, Steffon Armitage and Bastien Soury got their side right back in it.

With Wasps leading by just four points it was now anybody's game. However, Will Porter was felled with a high tackle and the kick to the corner produced the chance for Alfie to complete his heroics and give his side that winning margin.
