Treviso Preview with Johnny O'Connor

Connacht fly out to Italy early tomorrow morning for Saturday evening’s clash with Treviso kicking off at 6:05 pm Irish time. Rob Murphy caught up with Johnny O’Connor this week to talk about the Leinster game, the first ever trip to Treviso and the growing Connacht following.

The game will be live on Galway Bay FM. Connacht are the only Magners League team with a radio station following them to every away game in the competition for live commentary which ensures that supporters don’t miss a beat. 

To add to that we’ll be running our usual live updates service on www.knockon.ie where you can get involved by posting your thoughts throughout the game, we’ll also be gathering audio for our first Connacht podcast of the new season as our rugby podcasts return next week.

Eric Elwood has announced his squad for the trip and the 23 man squad sees three of Connacht’s four Irish squad members available with just Sean Cronin omitted. His unavailability will not be a surprise as he is likely to feature in Ireland’s match day 22 for South Africa on November 6.

Excellent news that the match is on the wireless (curious how that ancient term has come back into fashion - it's gone full circle). Will have it on at work on Saturday evening. More than makes up for missing Clermont v Stade, Toulouse v Toulon, Saints v Newcastle, Gloucs v Tigers (1 half) and Leinster v Edinburgh that I was moaning about having to miss.
