PREDICTION LEAGUE 2015-2016

By Craig Muncey
July 17 2015

The fixtures are out up till January with actual dates and times, so seems the right time to invite you all and your friends, families and enemies to take part in the prediction league for the new season.

This season I am pleased to announce there is a prize for the winner!

However, to manage your expectations, I will tell you now what the prize will be.

I have managed to get my hands on the highly coveted Cardiff Blues garden gnome, which I have christened "Griff", the winner will get to have Griff living in their garden or property if you prefer, for the whole season and this then get passes over to the new winner the following season, and so on etc.

Highly prestigious prize i know, but just adds a bit of fun to the event.

I have added in the league games as we know them to date, but once have the Cup games and the dates and times of the others, I will add and amend as necessary.

How the points work are explained on the website.

Have a bit of time, but let me know who wishes to take part prior to the first game, with your team names.

Any questions then just ask.

Best of luck one and all!

Soldier: This is the worst part. The calm before the battle
Fry: And then the battle is not so bad?
Soldier: Oh, right. I forgot about the battle

Rules are as follows:

The scoring works like this:

1 point for correct result. (Called a draw on the league table)

10 points for the correct score. (Called a win on the league table)

4 Points for the correct home/away score or within 3 points.

3 Points for guessing the home/away score within 4-6 points.

2 Points for guessing the home/away score within 7-10 points.

After Rick's joke last night:

A season ticket!

That's a bit harsh from Mr O'Shea.

How was the evening?

It was very good. Rick asked some tidy questions. Tempting the "odd" answer without being overt. He told a joke about Cardiff. And made the comment at the end that the sad bit was he used to tell it about the Dragons. It went down well with pretty much every one including the Rugby Club staff.

Rick is a Cardiff man and if we can't laugh at ourselves what is there left?

OK being slightly dull but thinking of joining in on this, do you do all the predictions now that are there or is it just for the next match - told you I was dull!
