Ex-Cardiff Players to Appear in Court

2 ex-Cardiff players and our current forwards coach are to be put on trail in France accoused of assault. Gareth Thomas, Andy Moore and Richard Webster will appear infront of magistrates accoused of sexual and physical assault in October 2003.

The trio, who are also joined by prop Phil Booth, were in France facing Pau in the Parker Pen with Brdigend. Having lost the match 18-9, many of the team went to a nearby nightclub where Booth made sexual gestures to a 22-year-old woman.

The womans fiancee interviened and so the brawl broke out with Moore, Webster and Thomas all joining the fight. All 4 denied the charges in Novbember of 2003 and will now recieve their hearing on October 13th.

Gareth Thomas left in 2000, while Andy Moore retired in 2004 after a neck injury. Coach Richard Webster has recently signed full-time with the Blues.
