Jamie Robinson will NOT play a part in the Cardiff RFC match against Neath on the weekend. Having been announced to play for the rags midweek, Dai Young has fast-tracked him into the Blues starting line-up for their match against Edinbough!

Following Nick Macleods withdrawel from the squad, Dai has been forced to shuffle his pack bringing in Robinson for his first appearence in over a year.

In a shock move, captain Rhys Williams drops back to his favoured position of full back, and Jamie takes pride of place in midfeild with Lee Thomas, who also makes his first start of the season.

It's a brave move by Dai, as he'll be very rusty, but also as being rushed back too soon may cause the injury to re-occur.

Jamie is one of the best centres in Wales and will be keen to recapture the form he had before picking up the knee injury last season. However, whether he will or not is a test of his character and desire to play.

It would be harsh to expect him to return as the player he left, and throwing him in at the deep end isn't what Dai would've wanted to do, but with so many injuries in backs, he felt he had no other choice.

It has been a major kick in the teeth however for Ponty fullback Matthew Nuttall to know that Young would take such a big risk instead of making a straight swap for Macleod.

He stays on the bench, as does Jamie Roberts who will almost definately replace Robinson at some point in the match to pick up his first competative cap for the region.
