Blues Get New Sponsors

The Cardiff Blues have confirmed two new sponsorship deals for next season with ‘Severnside Recycling’ and ‘Spire’ (formerly BUPA). The deals will see both companies logo’s appear on the yet to be released new jersey, as well as on the Blues official web site, and advertising boards around the Arms Park.

Both companies are offering more than cash for the sponsorship packages, with `Spire becoming the Blues new supplier of medical and healthcare services, and Severenside providing all new recycling facilities around the stadium and, aiding to ‘turn the Blues green'.

The recycling company will have their logo across the back shoulders on the new Canterbury shirt, replacing bankrupted ‘Firepower', while Spire is likely to be displayed on the left arm, with HSS Hire remaining on the right sleeve.

The big deal is yet to be announced, but will see BMIBaby replaced as the principle shirt sponsor, with Toulouse based manufacturers ‘EADS' being branded front centre of the kit.

This deal is likely to be confirmed on Wednesday ahead of Cardiff Blues' first fixture of the new season against Blues Premiership XV at Sardis Road on the Thursday.

Yep, Severnside is definately replacing Firepower at the top. Our sponsors this season seem to be providing more 'extras' than the sponsors they're replacing; Severnside launching the "Turning the Blues green" initiative providing recycling facilites around the Arms Park, Spire providing all medical services. All we need now is some artillery from EADS to batter the Biarritz front line :p
