Blues Battle With Transfer Sale

Cardiff Blues are locked in three transfer battles with Kingsley Jones’ Sale, with Wasps’ James Haskell and the Blues own Jamie and Nicky Robinson at the centre of all the transfer rumours.
Unsettled Wasps flanker, James Haskell, has been offered a deal to join the Cardiff Blues according to a rugby forum web site. The English form flanker is known to have spent several hours in Sale's Manchester base last month, with coach Jones saying,
'We are having talks. There is nothing concrete at this stage but he will be making a decision fairly soon.'
However it's now thought that the Blues are making a late bid to lure Haskell to the Welsh capital, and have offered more than Sale for their man. The region move to their new stadium in Leckwith next season, and it's thought they're trying to securer a big name to entice people to the new facility, and Haskell could be that man.
Meanwhile, according to Rugby365.com, Sale are trying to get both Jamie and Nicky Robinson, who's contracts expire at the end of the season, but it's thought the latter is the more likely to move.
Jamie is currently celebrating his Testimonial season with Cardiff and the Blues and it's thought his preference would be to stay, but younger brother Nicky is said to be keen on a move to Manchester and wants his sibling there with him. The duo have been offered new contracts by the Blues board, but haven't signed anything yet.
The article, http://www.rugby365.com/opinion/loop/1473121.htm, also links Dai Young's side to Leicester centre, Seru Rabeni, who's been told he's surplus to requirements at Welford Road. Cardiff are believed to have made an offer for the in demand centre, who is also linked with Munster, Ulster and Brive. Rambeni could be seen as a replacement for Jamie Robinson should the Blues star leave.
The Blues have already been linked to Haskell's Wasps team-mate, Dave Walder, Gloucester's Gareth Cooper and even Sale's Dwaine Peel as they look to build on their remarkable season next year.

It seems its the time of year for the annual transfer roundabout to get going.
Has a rumoured transfer for the Blues ever gone through.

Not really, this just sees the French get even stronger. Plus, where do you think those English sides will start looking to replace their stars on the cheap?
We're stuck bottom of this food chain, let's hope we can keep hold of our big names as money begins to dictate the sport.
