Last Home Game of the Season

The Blues go into tonights final home game of the 2010-11 season knowing their play-off fate remains in their hands. If Cardiff can win their remaining 3 games, starting tonight against Treviso, they finish in the top 4.

Munster may have already cemented their place at top of the Magners Table - which itself will be renamed next year following the Irish alcohol company's decision not to renew their sponsorship - but there's still planty to fight for as we enter the race to the finish line.

Dai Young had spoken in the week about the importance of consistancy as the season draws to a climax, and is able to name an unchanged side to the one which beat Connacht in Galway last Friday.

Cardiff Blues: Chris Czekaj; Leigh Halfpenny, Casey Laulala, Jamie Roberts, Tom James; Dan Parks Richie Rees; John Yapp, Gareth Williams, Taufa'ao Filise, Bradley Davies, Paul Tito (c), Ma'ama Molitika, Martyn Williams, Xavier Rush.Replacements: Rhys Williams, Sam Hobbs, Scott Andrews, Deiniol Jones, Michael Paterson, Lloyd Williams, Ceri Sweeney, Dafydd Hewitt.Treviso: Joseph Maddock; Tommaso Benvenuti, Ezio Galon, Alberto Sgarbi, Ludovico Nitoglia; Willem De Waal, Fabio Semenzato; Augusto Allori, Leonardo Ghiraldini (c), Lorenzo Cittadini, Francesco Minto, Valerio Bernabò, Manoa Vosawai, Alessandro Zanni, Paul Derbyshire.

To here Dai's comments after the game was a joke. He picked the team which was out to win without the important BP. Treviso always looked indiciplined and with the exception of two bursts never looked like reaching our try line. We should have kicked to the corner and went for the try's and I don't want to here"you have to secure the win first" Dan Parks was the wrong option and if anyone is celebrating a win over Treviso and think it is an achievement well lets call the season over. We need a home advantage if we reach the playoffs to be in with a chance which means 1 BP win and I will settle for a L BP .

It felt like an Ospreys game there on thursday there were so many kids. I know its good to attract new support, but, selling cut price group and family tickets and then flooding the un-reserved S/T area with them!! Why didn't all these group tickets have their own block of seating?

Rumous is ST prices to increase next season.

Bloody insult that the Blues effectively want ST holders to pay more to make up for all the free tickets they give out

I don't blame Parks for the performance. The backs have been underwhelming since about September (they started rather well...) regardless of who is at 10.
