Young to Wasps

Head Coach Dai Young will meet Blues bosses, including Peter Thomas, today to try and negotiate an early release from his contract. Young looks set to end his long affiliation with both Cardiff RFC and the Blues, having met Wasps officials yesterday. Young has requested talks with chairman Peter Thomas to try and negotiate an early release from his contract, which currently has 1-year to run. Early front runners to replace Young include Russia's ex-Sale coach Kingsley Jones and former Leeds and Scarlets coach Phil Davies - currently assistant at Worcester. While more internal promotions could see Blues assistant Justin Burnell or Pontypridd's Paul John stepping up.
