Peter Thomas confirmed last night that he won't walk away from the Blues, but admits the region does need more funding.

Thomas, Wales' 5th most richest man, has been the main benefactor for Cardiff and the Blues for many years now, and despite ploughing millions into the club, has come under much critcism in recent seasons.

Worth over £200,000,000 (£200 Million), the former 'Pie Man' has helped bring some of Wales biggest names to the club including Rob Howley,Gareth Thomas, Neil Jenkins, Iestyn Harris, Tom Shanklin and Gethin Jenkins, awell as forgein stars Xavier Rush and  rugby legend, Jonah Lomu. But he admits he is going to be reiweing his spending.

With key negotiations going on, players such as Rob Sidoli and Lee Thomas yet to sign, he's given warning that some players may well be on tehir way,

"We are going through our budgets now for next year. Funding is an annual issue. Every year you take stock and, at the moment, we are in the process of taking stock. Every year, you look at your squad and some players stay and some go."

This comes just months after he claimed "six quality signings" for next season. However, he give the region a boost by commiting himslf for the foreseable future,

"My support for the Blues is as strong as ever and my investment in the company remains solid. Anybody can read the accounts and see how committed I am. You can see what my loans are and what my shareholding is. I am going nowhere. I have put too much into this."

As much as anybody can argue against Thomas' managerial skills or decisions, there is no one else putting the kind of money in that he is, and without him, the Blues would surely go under. Thomas admits he sees the problem that once he's gone, there may well be no other to bail the Blues out,

"I'm trying to address the fact that professional rugby has got to start standing on its own two feet."

And when asked about the possibilty of a ground share with cardiff City, he reamined very much on the fence,

"Yes, our chief executive Bob Norster has had exploratory talks, but no more than that. As the chief executive of the company, it's his job to explore all avenues and he will keep the board posted. But there's nothing concrete at the moment."

Thomas will watch his side take on Glasgow tonight, as the Blues look to complete another double this season, beting the Scot's home and away.
