Hal Luscumbe could be confirmed as a Blue this weekend, thats the news according to 'Davechiller' on TheArmsPark.co.uk messageboard.

Its official Luscombe is to play for Blues next season. He has just signed for the Blues and they are about to make it official to the media. I know this as my cousin, is his best friend and are in regular contact with each other."

If Dave's link is confirmed, it would signal a big signing for Cardiff, with many English sides including Wasps interested in securing the services of the South African born Welshman.

Paul Turner recently confirmed that Hal has not re-signed a one-year deal with the Dargons, as previously thought, but Turner was desperate to sign up his main attraction,

"We want to keep him, it's our style that if we give players like that quality ball they will damage sides. We've talked to Hal before and after Christmas and hope he has good news."

Aswell as the Dragons, Wasps, The Ospreys and Harlequins were all thought to've been chasing Luscombe.

He  was brought into the Wales' squad by former Dragons coach Mike Ruddock, and started everyone of this years 6 Nations matches at outside centre.

With the Blues having missed out on Barry Davies and Matthew Watkins signature in recent weeks, it was cruical the region snapped up a back to bring cover to Tom Shanklin and provide competition for Jamie Robinson.

Luscombe also offres a wing option, and with just Chris Czekaj and Craig Morgan the Blues only 2 wingers for next seaon, his signing will come in handy.

Many fans, including myslef, would rather see Shanklin and Robinson pairing up in mid-feild, but the competition and back-up of Luscombe would add great strength in depth.

If signed as a winger, Luscombe would be played out of his preferred position, however, it may be where most Blues fans see him playing.

The signing is yet to be officially confirmed by the Blues, but an announcemnt could soon be on its way.
