Lee Thomas has become the second player this week to agree to move to the English premiership at the end of their current contract.

Ryan Powell and Lee Thomas (Toni and Guy) have both been snubbed by coach Dai Young, in a bid to shake up the Blues squad, and Thomas has found his new home at the Sharks.

The former Cardiff RFC, Ponty and Celtic warriors stand off has agreed a 2-year deal with league leadesr Sale.

On the move Thomas said,

“I have enjoyed my time with the Blues and they are great bunch of boys and I hope to stay good friends with them. I would like to thank everyone involved with the club for all their help over the years, the fans have great to me also and I hope to see them again if we meet in the Anglo – Welsh or Heineken Cup”.

Thomas, also known as 'The Babby Bomber' will complete his move as of the end of this current season.

He has played understudy to Nick Robinson since his move back to Cardiff 2 years ago, and failed to make a real impression during Robinson's long-term injury.

Probably his best game in a Blues shirt came in the 04-05 season, in the away match at Gloucester, when the region narrowly lost out to a Terry Fanaloa last minute try.

And theArmsPark can also reveal that flankers Kort Schubert and Maama Molitika are also set to leave.

Chairman Peter Thomas has said on Molitika,

"Yes, there are players leaving us. One that I am particularly disappointed about is Maama Molitika, who for a number of different reasons has decided to make a fresh start in Japan."

And of Schubert,

"'The other very good quality player we are sorry to lose is Kort Schubert who because he is an overseas player has found it tough to get into the side because we can only play two overseas players at a time."

However, he has also moved to stop the rumour that there will be limited in transfers. Its recently been rumoured taht few or even no players would be coming to the Arms Park other than youngsters, but Thomas has spoken out to end speculation,

"Looking at what we have now, we need to bring in another four top-quality players for next season. But I am hugely optimistic about next season and the quality of recruitment we are pursuing for it. The emphasis from now on will be on quality rather than quantity."

Thomas did concede that youth players would be promoted, but its a decision that can suprise few fans who have seen the form of certain club players,

"We also have to be mindful of some exceptional Academy players coming through the ranks. Two in particular who come to mind are Duane Goodfield and Wayne Evans. Those boys are worthy of their chance but there are many others who also deserve a crack at regional level."
