Arms Park target Ban Blair has spoken out for the first time about his proposed move to the Cardiff region.

Blair, on loan to the Highlanders for the last two seasons, said

'Nothing's been signed and sealed yet, we are waiting for another couple of weeks before making any sort of announcement. I'm not too sure if I have played my last game (for the Highlanders), we will just have to wait and see.'

It echo's Dai Youngs announcement from last week saying that the Kiwi has not yet signed, contrary to media reports. He has been a key player for his adopted side, playing every single minute of the Highlanders Super 14 matches this season, scoring 107 points including a hat-trick in one match.

It now looks as though Blair is biding his time before comitting to the Cardiff Blues, waiting for Grahme Henry's huge 39 man squad, if included, it may signal the end to the transfer, if not, the move is likley to go ahead. That squad is announced in a fortnight, so don't expect news much before then, unless Henry confirms Blair will or won't be included some time before. Until then, we all wait anxiously for what we hope will be good news.
