Owen Williams remains in hospital today, following a ‘neck injury’ sustained during the Cardiff Blues 3rd place play off at the World Club 10s event in Singapore.
The Cardiff Blues had enjoyed a reasonably successful trip to the inaugural World Club 10s, reaching the 3rd/4th place play-off match against the Asia Pacific Dragons. However, the match was halted for some time following a reported neck injury, suffered by the young Cardiff Blues centre.
Cardiff Blues have thanks fans for their messages of support for Owen, while the latest tweet from team mate Macaulay Cook suggests the injury could be a serious one.
@maccarugby91 tweeted;
‘At the hospital with owen. Thanks for all the kind wishes and support for him. Waiting for Owens family to arrive. Stay strong for ows.’
Messages continue to pour in for the 22 year old and I'm sure I speak for everyone on the site when I wish him a successful and speedy recovery.
