Once again, the subject of a song for the Tigers rears its head, with various suggestions being put forward. So, having scanned my CD collection, I have come up with a few suggestions: Songs with "Tiger" in the title:

Tiger Feet - Mud. A well known song, but a bit cheesy? Also, someone recently commented about Smoke On The Water - "the people behind the song now qualify for their free bus pass" - I think the same probably applies here

Eye Of The Tiger - Survivor. A bit more "sporty" perhaps, again, well known but as above - a bit cheesy?

Wild Tiger Woman - The Move. Not really useful unless we start a women's team - good song though.

When The Tigers Broke Free - Pink Floyd. Another good song, but not really suitable unless we want half the crowd to hang themselves!!


So, we move on to:

(Local) songs by local people:

I can only come up with Englebert Humberdink & Showaddywaddy in this category - see comment about bus passes above!!

Others:

Let Me Entertain You - Robbie Williams. OK for when the team run out, but can't see it working being sung by the crowd?

We Are The Champions - Queen. May have pedants arguing that we should only sing it when we ARE the champions - e.g. Should we sing it at Powergen Cup games?!!

A bit of culture - could the crowd have a go at the Hallelujah Chorus?!!

So, a few to consider - can we please have the votes from the Welford Road Jury?
