Sale have made some signings this summer - Nick Walshe, Johnny Rodham, Barrie Stewart - but on the whole the flux of players has definitely been in the outward direction. However, trusting lot that you are, 78% of respondents in the site poll said that we should wait and see what signings Jim Mallinder and Steve Diamond have lined up for us. And with the press day on Wednesday 14th August being the obvious occasion to unveil new recruits, we should not have too long to wait.

Thinking back to this time last year, Iain Fullarton's signing was announced at the August press event and he turned out to be one of THE players of 2001/02. So there definitely is still hope that transfer market activity has been taking place unbeknownst to the press.

Keep your eyes on the newspapers over the next week to see what they make of this year's Sale squad.
