For most of us Rugby fans, especially if you’re of a Saracens persuasion, it only feels like yesterday that they pulled off that remarkable victory in one of the best Premiership Rugby finals of the modern era.

Great game. However, there’s no time to reflect on past glories now as each team gears up for the new campaign.

To get you in the mood for the new season, we’ve been inspired to look at the best new signings so far in Gallagher Premiership Rugby.

In recent times the Sharks have bought in a number of integral players from South Africa and that approach has worked wonders- they now have the strength and depth to rival most outfits in the league.

Out of all the South African imports however it’s Loop de Jager that really stands out as a star. The second row, who is still only 26, is dominant from the lineout and a fully-fledged international after securing 39 caps for his native country.

With the addition of Mark Wilson from Newcastle too, Sharks could be real dark horses when the new campaign gets underway and if you fancy their chances to topple the league’s elite then take a look at some of the best matched betting sites if you want a flutter and to see the latest odds.
